Spring 2012 Course Information

The schedule for the Spring 2012 course is currently under development. The 13 week course will be held on Fridays, February 17th to June 1st, generally from 9 AM to 3 PM. There is one evening program and one weekend field trip.

Registration for the course is though SC Master Naturalist Program, a SC Cooperative Extension program administered through the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources of Clemson University in cooperation with various partners around the state. The course fee of $600 includes the Master Naturalist Training Manual, the Winyah Master Naturalist Course Book, field guides, entrance fees to field trip sites, and a resource CD.

No special equipment is required to participate in the course other than a good pair of shoes that can get wet and muddy.  A backpack, binoculars, and camera are recommended. Field trips typically involve some off-trail hiking, but the level of activity can usually be modified for participans.
