for Stormwater Management Wednesday November 10, 2004 Kimbel Center, Hobcaw Barony Georgetown, SC
Co-sponsored by the North Inlet – Winyah Bay Coastal Training Program (CTP), Coastal Carolina University’s Burroughs and Chapin Center for Marine and Wetland Studies, SC Sea Grant Consortium, Horry County Stormwater Management, and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service
Constructed wetlands—when properly designed, built, and maintained—are efficient, cost-effective, and underutilized tools for managing stormwater runoff. Constructed wetlands combine specially selected plants and carefully planned hydrology to maximize water residence time and improve water quality. This training event is intended to provide the design and engineering community with participatory, technical training about the design, construction, and maintenance of constructed wetlands for stormwater management.
