*Low Impact Development in Practice was part of a regional training initiative coordinated through the Coastal Waccamaw Stormwater Education Consortium and was hosted in concert with two training opportunities for homeowners. These events, held on June 5th and June 6th, 2006 , showcased low-tech strategies for stormwater management and featured the installation of two demonstration rain gardens, which we invite you to visit. One is in front of the Surfside Beach Town Hall and the other is in front of the Atlantic Center at Coastal Carolina University.
