This web site contains information on what estuaries are, why they are important and the threats they are faced with as well as information regarding the findings from USES research. This website was developed to present the findings of the Coastal Erosion Study to interested parties and the general public. Some features of this site include dynamic online maps of the SC/GA coasts, beach cameras, and a listing of the equipment used to collect data for the Coastal Erosion Study."

One unique feature is the field facility to evaluate and verify the performance of stormwater management devices and technologies. Fifteen different management systems are currently undergoing side-by- side comparison testing under strictly controlled conditions."
