To properly assess the habitat suitability of an area for intertidal organisms, it is recommended that a full survey of the water chemistry, stream  flow, and turbidity be done at the same time as the sampling for organisms. If  desired, use the appropriate field/lab and data sheets. At a minimum, the following data should be collected when sampling is conducted.
